Possums...

...made with using an old wool sweater, some scrap fleece, yarn, thread and lovingly stuffed with bamboo fiber-fill. Shown here from two angles; it's a stuffed possum I made for my youngest nephew.

'Possum' was his nickname before his birth. Thankfully now, he's too cute to keep that name.

By the way, ever run into a pregnant one that hisses as you try to slowly back away from the streetlight spot light it's under? A light that makes its eyes glow a fiery red? It's a moving experience, let me tell you.

YIKES! ...that sounds like the wind-up version. You're lucky that's all it did!

I did have one try to get into my bedroom window when I lived on Magnolia years ago. That was back when folks didn't believe they lived in the city. Did you cross their paths growing up in the city?

Right now, I'm going to work on stichin' up dolls from all the woolens I've gathered. Remember our adventure at that Rockstar Rags warehouse? I got a lot of good stuff there. What did you do with all that mexican stuff that was going to make you rich?

I ran into that one hitching out to Webster when I was a kid. It looked like a giant rat. Those ponchos were filthy, I tried washing them in a tub with Woolite. Half fell apart, the other half shrank and the colors blurred. They're tiny and in a bag in my basement. I should have tried them on first.

Ohhh, David, get rid of that bag! Very. Carefully. I fear it may be a bomb of black mold now!

And what was that possum doing hitchhiking anyway?

Michael, I may well stir up a pot or two with quoting you at the next family reunion! Yup. I'm sure I will.
