
where I was into a simple line drawing phase and my daughter was in her monochromatic phase. My style was defined as contour lines, hers was freeform with a big red crayon. The common ground was my sketchbook. Every single page.
And this is the day I look back and laugh.

My daughter and I were doing very much the same thing today. I was in the studio laying down acoustic guitar tracks. She was playing a hand held video game. Both of us generating sound. Our common ground was the track I was recording to.
...and I'm sure the result was disjointedly beautiful.
